How does adrenal disease correlate with thyroid disease since symptoms overlap? Is it possible to wean off of thyroid hormone and regain thyroid function if you follow the adrenal treatment regimen?

  3. bodylogicmd says:

Donna – All of our hormones affect the others. Our hormones are like a musical symphony-the music won’t sound beautiful if one part of the orchestra isn’t playing properly and it is the same when one or more of our hormones are out of balance. It is possible that you may no longer need thyroid treatment when other hormones are optimized but lowered levels of thyroid hormone are a part of aging just as adrenal and ovarian dysfunction increase as we age. The important thing is to balance all of the hormones and replace what needs replacing based on testing of your hormone levels.
